 TAIZHOU
is located on the northern side of the lower reach of the
Yangtze River and in the middle of Jiangsu Province,with
an area of 5793 square kilometers and a population of 5.04
million. With a history of over 2100 years,Taizhou enjoys
the reputation of "Ancient City of Han and Tang Dynasties
and Famous District alongside in the Huaihai Region".
It was ever a political,economic,cultural and traffic center
in Central Jiangsu.
Close to river and sea,with flat land,Taizhou enjoys a faverable
geo grophicol location.In the past 20 years,Taizhou economic
growth has remained at the average speed of over 10%. It has
being one of central cities inside the Yangtze River Delta

Yuan,the fiscal revenue 5.3 billion Yuan.

enterprises. The investors from 30-odds foreign countries

set their plants here. Taizhou City has already realized the
total trading volume up to over 5 billion USD; self-import
and export have reached 1.5 billion USD,among which the self-export
has reached 1.1 billion USD. There are four enterprises have
obtained the qualification of international economic and technology
cooperation,and has completed the turnover of 270 million
USD. Some local enterprises have set up business offices or
production bases in foreign countries. Friendly exchanges
and cooperation between Taizhou and foreign countries are
increased actively. Up to now,Taizhou have 6 sister cities
in the world.
TAIZHOU is a newly developed industrial city. There are 2880
industrial enterprises,among which there are 187 large or
medium scale enterprises. The net value of industrial fixed
asset is 12.1 billion yuan,floating assets 22.1 billion-yuan.
The pillar industries have come into being. Motorcycles and
automobiles industry and its spare parts producing,Machinery
and electronic industry,Chemical and pharmaceutical industry
have been the leaders of industrial economy. The industrial
output value of the above covers 45% of the economy of the
whole city. The automobile,motorcycle,machinery,domestic
electrical appliance,chemistry,food have been the main products
of the industrial economy,among which the production scale
and the market-holding ratio of more than 50 kinds of products
have been the leader of the similar products,and ranked the
first in the same fields in china. Among the 76 key enterprises,65 enterprises¡¯output value exceeds 100 million-yuan,and
56 enterprises¡¯sales income is over 100 million-yuan.

production base of marketable grain and cotton. Taixing gingko,sesame oil and Zhongzhuang liquor-saturated crabs are well
